Terms of use
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Curious Koko is a free game made by one person. These terms are short and say what you would expect them to say.
1. Who these terms are with
This site and game are provided by Saurabh Srivastava, an independent developer ("we", "us"). Using the game means accepting these terms. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should read them and agree on your behalf.
2. What you get
A licence to play Curious Koko for free, for personal, family, classroom or educational use. No payment, registration or licence key is required. Schools, libraries, clubs and after-school programmes may use it with as many children as they like, at no cost and without asking permission.
3. Nothing is for sale
There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no paid tier. Coins, stars, gems, tickets, materials, pets, clothing and every other in-game item are earned by playing, exist only inside the game, cannot be bought or sold, and have no monetary value of any kind. They can be lost — by clearing browser data, deleting a player, or a technical fault — and we owe no compensation if that happens.
4. Saved progress
Progress is stored in your browser, and additionally in our database if you choose to sign in. We make a genuine effort to keep it safe but do not guarantee it. Clearing site data will delete unsynced progress permanently. Treat a save file as what it is: a record of a game, not a document you need.
5. Things you may not do
- Attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the game, its database or the accounts of other users.
- Use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the service, or attempt to bypass its abuse protections.
- Copy, redistribute or rehost the game, its code, artwork, characters, question banks or written content without permission, or present it as your own.
- Frame or embed the game on another site in a way that hides its origin or wraps it in your own advertising.
- Click your own or others' advertisements artificially, or encourage anyone to do so. This harms advertisers and can get the site removed from its ad network.
- Use the game for anything unlawful.
Linking to the game, recommending it, or writing about it is welcome and needs no permission.
6. Intellectual property
Curious Koko — including the character of Koko, the worlds, the artwork, the puzzle designs, the question banks and the text on these pages — is © 2026 Saurabh Srivastava and is protected by copyright. The game is built on open-source software, whose own licences continue to apply to it. Teachers may take screenshots for classroom materials, and reviewers and journalists may use screenshots freely.
7. Educational content
The lessons, questions and answer keys are written and checked carefully, including the grade 3 Olympiad practice banks, which are hand-checked. Even so, mistakes are possible, and syllabuses differ between countries, boards and schools. Curious Koko is a supplement to teaching, not a substitute for it, and no particular exam result or learning outcome is promised. If you find an error, please tell me — corrections are made quickly and gratefully.
8. Advertising
The information pages carry advertising, which pays the running costs. Ads are supplied by Google AdSense and are served non-personalised because the site is directed at children. We do not choose or endorse individual advertisers and are not responsible for the content of an ad or of the site it leads to. If you see an ad here that is inappropriate for a children's site, please report it to me with a screenshot — that is genuinely useful and I will act on it.
9. Availability
The game is provided "as is" and "as available". It may be offline for maintenance, may change, and may one day stop being offered. There is no uptime guarantee. Features can be added, altered or removed without notice.
10. No warranty and limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the game is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost progress, arising from use of the game.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Privacy
How data is handled is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy, which form part of these terms.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top will change when they are. Continuing to use the game after a change means accepting the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country and may bring proceedings there.
